MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) –Two Burundian soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb went off targeting an infantry regiment part of AMISOM troops stationed in Burane near the town of Jowhar, local officials have confirmed.
The attack took place in the vicinity of Burane town in the Middle Shabelle region where hundreds of AMISOM troops walking at the sidelines of the road in fear of attacks were targeted.
Local Somali officials who spoke to media said troops were heading to the nearby town of Jowhar, the seat of power for Hirshabelle state.
At least two Burundian soldiers are said to have been killed in the attack claimed by Al-Shabaab armed group and several others wounded.
