ADDIS ABABA (Somaliguardian) – Ethiopia’s federal government has demanded that the Sudanese government withdraw troops from areas in the disputed border they regained over the past weeks, before a new round of negotiations could be set in motion.

Briefing local media, mr Mufti, expressed gratitude over the efforts of entities attempting to resolve the dispute through mediation and dialogue.

As he continued to speak further, the Ethiopian Foreign Ministry spokesman reiterated that his country insists on pullout of Sudanese troops from the disputed border areas before talks could resume.
