Somalia’s govt dispatches ‘rescue boats’ to flood-hit town

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s government said on Thursday it had dispatched two rescue boats to the town of Bardhere in Gedo region where floods forced tens of thousands of people to flee their homes.

“The Somali Disaster Management Agency dispatched two rescue boats to #Bardhere district in #Gedo region today, due to heavy rains that led to the flooding of #Jubba River,” authorities said.
