MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to travel to the United States for the second time since he was re-elected, Caasimada Online news website reported on Saturday.
Mohamud will attend a UN meeting on the security situation of Somalia, in which he will provide a speech on the country’s fight against Al-Shabaab insurgents. He is also expected to urge the United Nations to lift a decades-long arms embargo on the war-torn Horn of Africa nation.
