MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) –At least one government soldier was killed and three others wounded following a land mine explosion in livestock market in the Somalia town of Burhakabo in Bay region, officials have confirmed.
Witnesses told media that the land mine went off as troops were inside the city’s livestock market.
Somali government troops immediately began rounding up youths and people who were nearby, making several arrests.
Local officials have not yet briefed media about the arrests made following the land mine explosion.
Many such explosion attacks had earlier occurred in Burhakabo targeting troops and officials.
