MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) –District commissioner of Yaqshid Muse Gesey Jim’ale has survived an assassination attempt after his vehicle was targeted by a roadside bomb explosion near Fagah intersection in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The sound of loud explosion was heard in the capital early on Thursday with reports indicating that the attack targeted the vehicle of Yaqshid district commissioner who narrowly escaped the attempt on his life.
Security forces have immediately cordoned off the site of the explosion attack.
Casualties still remain unknown so far at the moment, but witnesses say the targeted vehicle was badly damaged by the explosion.
