DOHA (Somaliguardian) – Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani on Thursday said the Gulf state was in talks with the Taliban and working with Turkey for potential technical support to restart operations in Kabul airport, Reuters news agency reported.

Sheikh Mohammed was speaking at a joint press conference with Britain’s Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab in Doha.

The remarks have come just a few days after the United States withdrew its troops from Afghanistan to end its longest war.
