MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Mayor of Somalia’s capital Mogadishu Yusuf Jimale Madale on Saturday appeared in a video flogging teenagers at a night club near the city’s Liido Beach.
Madale said the teenagers he was seen flogging were using illicit drugs and were involved in other “obscene practices”, adding that some of them were taken to prison and others were handed over to their families.
The mayor told local media that a number of night clubs at Liido Beach were closed following complaints from the public over they pose to the security and well-being of the residents of the capital.
