MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Chinese ambassador to Somalia Fei Shengchao on Wednesday reacted to Somaliland comments on recent military drills by Beijing in the Taiwan Strait.
The ambassador said “families don’t draw borders inside a house”, referring to Somaliland’s call for Beijing to respect the national borders of Taiwan.
In a statement, Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the break-away Somali region “stands strong with Taiwan and are united with fellow democracies” amid spiraling tensions.
