Kenyan soldiers killed in Lamu after vehicle runs over roadside bomb

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – A number of Kenyan soldiers were feared dead after vehicle they were traveling in was targeted a roadside bomb suspected to have been planted by the militant group Al-Shabaab in Lamu county, Nation Africa reported on Monday.

The soldiers were on a normal patrol along the Milimani-Baure road in Lamu’s Boni forest when hit by the blast, military spokesman Zipporah Kioko said.

The attack came hours after a contractor was seriously injured in another roadside blast in Hindi Bar’goni road.
