Somalia

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s security forces arrested three military officers, including a colonel, on suspicion of facilitating a deadly suicide bomb attack on a military academy in the capital Mogadishu on Monday.

The attack claimed by Al-Shabaab left at least 30 soldiers dead and more than 70 others wounded.

Citing security forces, VOA Somali reported on Tuesday that there was a possibility of more arrests as the government launched a probe into what happed. Somali authorities are trying to find answers about who assisted the bomber, who carried out the deadliest attack on a military installation in Mogadishu in recent history, to get inside the heavily-fortified Jaalle Siyad compound.
