MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set to meet the leader of the northern separatist region of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi in Djibouti for the second time since he returned to office last year.
Mohamud will be accompanied by his envoy for talks with Somaliland Abdikarim Hussein Guled, advisors and members of the cabinet. Members of Somaliland cabinet, including the minister of interior Mohamed Kahin are also reported to be part of Bihi’s delegation.
The two leaders are expected to agree on starting a new round of talks brokered by the government of Djibouti, following years-long hiatus.
