MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday held talks with former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed over issues, including a recent controversial deal proposing the extension of presidential and parliamentary terms to five years.
Himilo Qaran, a party led by the former President, said in a statement that the two had discussed issues, including the recent agreement between the leaders of the National Consultative Council, the fighting in Lasanod, renewed conflicts between federal and regional troops and tensions in Gedo region.
