MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – At least one person was killed and three others wounded after gunfight between Puntland troops and forces loyal to the opposition erupted in the regional capital Tuesday, Caasimada Online news website reported.
It came after opposition forces opened fire at a convoy of security forces escorting a Youtuber , triggering an exchange of heavy gunfire.
There have been reports of a mortar shell that landed outside regional presidential palace. Authorities have not yet commented on the incident, which comes amid escalating tensions in the semi-autonomous region.
