MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s government on Friday welcomed a “declaration of principles” signed by Sudanese warring sides to protect civilians and secure humanitarian access.
“The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia applauds the Declaration of Commitment signed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, by the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces,” Villa Somalia said in a statement.
“This significant agreement, aimed at facilitating humanitarian aid and halting military conflict, serves as a pillar of hope for the Sudanese people.”
