GAROWE (Somaliguardian) –Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo heading a high-profile delegation arrived in Dhusamareb where he was warmly received by the Somali PM Hassan Ali Khaire and leaders of federal member states.
Galmudug, Hirshabelle and Southwest leaders where at the airport of Dhusamareb to welcome president Farmajo, however, Puntland and Jubaland leaders were not at the event.
Earlier, leaders of Somalia’s federal member states invited the government of president Farmajo to join up with them in a consultative meeting on forthcoming elections.
It’s unclear if the two sides would reach an agreement over contentious issues include holding timely elections, however, the Somali PM Hassan Ali Khaire had earlier asserted that timely elections would be key to save the country from constitutional and security dilemmas.
