MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday met the leader of Comoros Azali Assoumani on the sidelines of the Italy-Africa Summit in Rome, Villa Somalia said.
“[Mohamud] met with President Azali Assoumani of the Comoros and the Chairperson of the African Union on the sidelines of the Italy-Africa Summit in Rome,” his office tweeted.
“They discussed regional issues of mutual interest as well as bolstering collaborative efforts towards achieving a future of progress and prosperity for the African Continent based on upholding the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of all member states of the African Union.”
