MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Leader of Somalia’s northeastern semi-autonomous region of Puntland Saeed Abdullahi Deni on Friday pardoned commanders of opposition forces who had fought his troops in the regional capital Garowe several weeks ago.
In a speech after visiting a village near the regional capital, Deni also called on opposition politicians to come to the negotiating table to end months-long political impasse in the region.
