MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) –Somalia’s cabinet meeting scrapped as ministers walked out after fight broke out between the Minister of Defense and his deputy, officials have confirmed on Thursday.
During cabinet meeting held to approve African Continental Free Trade Agreement, a fight broke out between the Somali Minister of Defense Ali Ahmed Amar Danbe and his deputy Mohamed Ali Hagaa.
As the scuffle intensified with the two men exchanging punches, acting Prime Minister Mahdi Guled decided to bring the meeting to an end.
According to members of cabinet who spoke to somaliguardian on the condition of anonymity, the fight followed a long-standing dispute between the acting Minister of Defense and his deputy, which unfolded following the removal of Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.
