Casualties after suicide bomber attacks recruits at Turkish base in Somalia’s capital

MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – A suicide bomber blew himself up outside Turkish military base in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Sunday, where dozens of recruits were lined up to enlist in Gorgor special forces, Caasimada Online news website reported.

Loud explosion was heard in the southern neighborhoods of the city near Camp TURKSOM early in the morning. Casualties have not been immediately known.

Al-Qaeda-aligned militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility, saying it killed 32 recruits in the attack.
