NAIROBI (Somaliguardian) – An Ethiopian army officer killed four civilians and wounded three others in a shooting in the town of Qabri-dahar in Ethiopia’s Somali region, officials said on Tuesday.
Authorities told media that the soldier turned the gun on himself after the shooting, adding that they launched an investigation into the incident.
Local opposition leaders condemned the shooting, warning that such incidents “could risk inciting a rebellion” in the already troubled region.
