MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – Somalia’s prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble is due to meet with his British counterpart Boris Johnson and UK foreign secretary Dominic Raab on Thursday over bilateral relations and the Horn of Africa country’s upcoming elections, a government spokesman said on Monday.
Somali prime minister left for a trip to the United Kingdom on Monday where he will attend Global Education Summit. On the sidelines of the conference, Roble will meet with a number of world leaders, his spokesman said.
“PM will meet on Thursday with British PM and Foreign Secretary and other international leaders attending the summit,” Somali government spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim Moalimu tweeted.
It is the first visit the prime minister has paid to the United Kingdom since he was appointed in September last year.
